what transmission do i need to look for???

since i am very new to mopar stuff, i have no idea what to look for ,as to the way of, manual transmissions.i have just got a 440 engine and have no idea what size and model trans will work.can someone give me a crash corse and list the ones i need to look for and maybe different price ranges(not really wanting to" break the bank").ready to shop and need to know what to ask for.thanks guys
