Gas Tanks and Fuel Lines for 69 Charger R/T---I'am Confused

What is the correct gas tank for a 69 Charger R/T (with 440).  I see listed a CR9A and CR9B.  First is w/o EEC.  Second has EEC (evaporative emission control).  Was the one with EEC required in California or something?  One website describing the one with EEC said it had 4 vent tubes coming out the side. 

Second question--------Can someone tell me how the fuel lines are configured going from the fuel tank to the fuel pump on a 440 69 Charger R/T.  Is there just one line or are there two?  Is there a return line? (coming from the vapor separator and going back toward the fuel tank).  If there is a return line, where exactly does it return to?  My 69 318 car appears to have just one fuel line going to the fuel pump.  And I don't see 4 vent tubes either (so I assume my car presently has a CR9A tank).

Third and final question-----Is there any difference between the fuel tanks listed as being made in Taiwan and the ones listed as being made in Canada?  Seems like the Taiwan tanks sell for as little as $130 while the Canada tanks go for more like $200 or so.  Are the better tanks galvanized or are all of them galvanized?  Seems to me that if the tank was not galvanized it would rust real quick.

I think the EEC tank is for the CA cars but someone else will need to clarify.
My 440 car has two lines running up the passenger side.
You'll get what you pay for.  My tank was made in Canada and although it was galvanized, it started to oxidize and I painted it with Tank Tone.

Thanks Shakey.  The information you provided was what I was looking for.  I will add some info I got from the guy at rpm restoration parts today.  I ordered several items from him and while I had him on the line I asked him about this same matter.  He said that the EEC was California only.  Said that the only fuel tanks he knew about were made in Canada (I think by Spectra Premium).  He said that the 440 chgrs in 69 had 3/8 fuel line going to fuel pump.  There is also a 1/4 inch line that runs right beside it that connects to the 1/4 inch pipe in the fuel sending unit and other end connects to a pipe coming out of the vapor separator mtd to the forward most bolt that holds the fuel pump on.  All this is confirmed on your post.

Is there any harm in using one of those Carter 120 gpm fuel pumps instead of the stock one on my 440 application?  Only reason I ask is I already have one of those.

Nope, no harm.  Its the pump that the Hemi's used....I run one with no problems.

Thanks a lot for the picture Just69chgr.  That and the picture Shakey posted showing the fuel tank end has answered all my questions.  I also bought the fuel line for my dual line Holley carb from the guy in Boulder, Colorado you suggested (Fabulous Fabrications I think).

Just69chgr------------Could you post a picture of the coil mounting plate on your engine.  I think you got it from Fabulous Fabrications too.  The one you used with your CH4B.

Yes the bracket was from FF but I had to modify it by turning it upside down, knocking out the studs & elongating one of the holes on it where it bolts to the intake.   The bracket was given to me for free so i didnt waste any $$ on it to get to to fit my CH4B

Thanks for the picture of the coil mtg plate from Fabulous Fabrications.  I didn't realize you had to modify yours.  I will probably just make a plate from some scrap steel.

For anybody else that looks at this picture, the fuel lines are made by Fabulous Fabrication out of Boulder Colorado.  He makes them out of Stainless Steel now since he said he can't get the original steel tubing anymore.

Just69chgr----------I see that your fuel and return lines are the correct type with the KV markings.  And that you used the correct OEM type clips.  I found these on Bill Alphins amhightechauto.com website.  Need to order.  Question--------how do the clips get secured.  Are they mashed closed with a special tool?  And if so, are they a one-shot clip, ie, you use it once and that's it------you have to use a new one the next time?  I'am wondering if a spring clip like they have for sale at Inline Tube wouldn't make more practical sense in case you had to take lines loose in the process of getting your car going as it were.  Wouldn't be concours correct but would be better looking than a aircraft screw type clamp that I am avoiding (for asthetic reasons only).

What fuel pump are you using? is it the large or small fittings?
