Is a 65 413cid engine worth any attention or is it a boat anchor?? ..date code wedge engine...I have the opportunity to purchase a complete 65 Chrysler 300 2drht ..low miler...not running...rusty...cheap! ...maybe a suregrip??

is it a max wedge or just a wedge? there is a difference. i personally like 413's and i'd LOVE  to have a max wedge, but they are pretty rare and desirable
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

A 1965 413 would be a wedge engine.   The 413 Max Wedge was produced in 1962.     Three years ago I sold my 413 engine with less than 10,000 miles after rebuild, for $600.     I don't think that they've gone up much in value since then.

forged crank is about all that has value . i just passed on 2 413s 64-65 for $100.00 if that tells you anything . the only thing that would be worth a good buck would be if the 300 has a push button trans . if it were me id offer him $200.00 max that way you can still make a few bucks on the forged crank and trans .
