                                                          Tint Pentstarlogo DD CID
                                                                   Saftey glass

SafeGuard = Glass supplier Trade Name (Chrysler Corp)
Solid Tempered = State regulation mark (Tempered glass)
Tint = Glass is tinted
Pentstarlogo = Chrysler logo
DD CID =  Glass manufactured logo
Safety glass = Glass breaks into small pebbles

A 52   (AS2) = American Standard Look again to see if that five is really an "S"

31 = (I have to keep lookin on this one?)

Dot 21 = Code assigned by NHTSA to the glass manufacturer and = Chrysler Corp

M 56 = Model code assigned to glass by manufacturer

From my, very basic, understanding of glass codes, that appears to be back glass from a '71 model car.  :Twocents:
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Thanks for all the help so far.

After I got the glass home something just told me to stop everything before I remove the original  windshield this glass is too flat looks like it ain't gonna fit and the numbers don't match charger #'s. :icon_smile_dissapprove:

Your probley right this must be a rear window. I guess  :shruggy:
year 1971   Could be   :shruggy:

Thanks for the help that gives me something to go on for researching  :scratchchin:

F.Y.I.  You can still buy windsheilds for your 68 Charger brand new from any reputable glass shop, although you can only get the one's with the tinted bar across the top now.  I believe all '68 - '70 b-bodies used the same windsheild so its not a one year only glass which is why its still available.

I know you can still buy new Charger windshields . Heres the story I bought this unknown El Cheapo  :hah:windshield local off craigslist ad last summer .i wanted to put it in a day or so then and be done . I didn't want to wait and order replacement glass for a project car. Since the seller had a 1969 Charger
and this was included when he bought his Charger it seemed correct to me as far as I could tell. Now many months later I  am stuck with this "Unknown Mopar Windshield"  :image_294343:  that I can't sell or trade   since I don't know what it goes to and I can't find a online glass decoder website yet  :brickwall: . I Thank Everyone for the help so far I just trying to make sure this glass finds a new home on a Mopar :2thumbs:

Maybe if you posted some pictures of it we could help identify it.

I tried to post a pic but the camera resolution was set too high (over 200 kb)   :sorry:. So I' ll have to rest camera and  reshoot some new pics of glass  :icon_smile_cool:sometime.
