Seems like you don't see too many that color. I had a 69 close to that color. The guy I sold it to went with top bannana. If my car was that color from the factory it would stay that color.  :2thumbs:

Its a good look I  had a challenger years ago close to that and loved it

triple_green

I had a 69 R/T SE that color F3. I like it with a white vinyl roof and a white butt stripe.

I think there are many better colors than this F4.  My Charger was F4 (Light Green Metallic) so when I restored it, I picked EV2 (Hemi Orange).  See my avitar.  my  :Twocents:

I was still thinking about painting my car green when I painted it black. ;D I still don't know what to think of it. It's definitely not something that makes me want to stand up and cheer but there are several other colors that I don't like more.

I like it A LOT!!!  I've gone on record several times to say how much I love green Mopars.  :2thumbs:

Actually that color was quite common, I like the color, took a while to grow on me though.

Ron has some pics of the Coronet if you're interested. I cant post any.

Not sure of numbers but it sure seems like green was real popular back then, but I agree if mine came that color and was mostly stock I would more than likely paint it the same color.

i personally wouldn't paint my car that color if it was factory applied or not, the only exception being if it was a #'s matching HEMI car. as mentioned before, there are just too many other prettier colors. in my opinion, the reason the green looks good on a car like that is because it is so nice overall... any color looks nice on a charger when the car is restored :)

Of the greens available, that's the only one I like, but only with a black top (or no vinyl) and a black interior.

Regarding the Carrington ad, how can that be a "Californian" car, if it's been in Spain "most of its life"?   :rotz:

My Charger was this color and was coded F3. It had a black top and green interior, which is a little more pleasent to my eye.

MichaelRW

That's the exact color combo my car was originally...green on green on green  ::). I went with B5 blue metallic with charcoal/black interior and a black vinyl top and BB stripe.

I own a 68 Charger with that same paint code(whats left of it anyways) with a black vinyl top and I cant wait to repaint it someday. I am not a big fan of that color personally.

Mine is a numbers 2 bbl car with a white top. I am starting to like it. I might repaint it that color. It WAS a common color. Nobody seems to use that color anymore. Check out the link below. Many people tell me to paint it that color again. I just might do it.

Hey triple_green, that's a very beautiful Charger!  The background of the picture looks like Memory Lane Motors.  I was never there because I live in Michigan.  But I frequently go online to check their inventory, that's why it looks very familiar to me. I actually bought my survivor Coronet from them in 2005.  It was consigned by member RTPTRON. The transaction was painless, and they are a very honest business to deal with.  I bought my car sight unseen except for the pictures...and a very accurate description over the phone by Mark.  If I had the money I would buy from them again, and would've certainly considered buying that Charger! I remember seeing it online, and drooling on my keyboard!  :2thumbs: Great Car!  :drool5:

triple_green

Good catch..that was infact taken, by Mark at memory Lane Motors. They couldn't sell it...but Ebay could.

BTW...Mark at Memory Lane is a "class act"

So is my friend Ron Henry....although he did go to the dark side buying a new Shelby   :icon_smile_cool:

You sold the car?  I should have noticed (a few replies up) when you refered to the car as "My old Charger" ....anyway, thought you bought it!  I do agree that Mark and Ron are good cats.  :2thumbs:

my '69 SE is originally F3 green with a green vinyl top, black interior, I was thingking of goig with a black top, but that car looks pretty sweet with the green top, I may keep the original colors. I have been debating on changing the color though... :scratchchin:
