There's two different types for big blocks, right? One for the 361-383-400 and one for the 413-426 wedge and 440? :shruggy:

Ghoste

Yes, one for B (383 low deck) and one for RB (440 raised deck or raised block).

Exactly. The dp4b is a 383-400 manifold. The ch4b is a 413-440 manifold. Both are dual plane designs and work very well  :2thumbs:

Thanks guys. I just snagged this one tonight off Ebay. :2thumbs:

Awesome Curtis ! That is an original over the counter "Direct Connection" speed part from the late 70's....very cool.  :icon_smile_cool:

Notice that it has a Mopar part number cast into it....that makes it a fairly rare piece and it's in fantastic shape too !   :2thumbs:

Really? That's cool. I kind of wondered about that number because I didn't recall seeing it on any of the other Edelbrock intakes I've been scoping. :scope:

Yep, that is a factory "speed part" just like the 6-pack manifolds that were also sold over the counter at your local dealer back in the Direct Connection days.  :icon_smile_big:

I haven't seen one of those in many years...and certainly not in that nice of shape....major score dude !  :2thumbs:

:2thumbs: Now I can tell everyone it's been on there since 1977. :icon_smile_tongue: Thanks for the info, Ron. It's little trivia facts and long-shot scores like this that make the hobby a lot of fun for me. The fact that I scored it on accident makes it even better. Reminds me of the "wrong" radiator I bought that ended up being correct for a T/A Challenger/AAR Cuda.

Ghoste

It's kind of like having one that is still factory correct.  :2thumbs:
