8 3/4" rear, how to tell...

How can you tell the difference from a diff or a non diff 8 3/4", i dont have a case for it.

Diff? Non diff? Do you mean limited slip or non limited slip? Either will fit in the empty housing and axles you have showing.

simple really, the sure grip rearend(limited slip) might still have a tag saying such, if not and the third member is still in the housing under a vehicle, jack the vehicle up and spin the rear wheels, if they both go in the same direction, then youve got a sure grip, if one spins forward and the othe backwards, youve got a non limited slip rearend
