even tho toyota says it will be fielding cup cars in 07, they dont intend to run in bush next year, so i would be shocked if they make it to cup by 07...however dodge did skip the bush series. i still dont think toyota realised how steep the learning curve would be. they are just catching up in the trucks. im guessing 08 or 09 for cup

Waltrip going to Bill Davis Racing is supposed to be the beginnings of what's to happen in '07.  Waltrip and Napa going together are so far the biggest names that will make the switch, I think it was on Speed Channel that I heard this.  I haven't heard anything about Hunduh yet?

ive been watching nascar since i was 7 or 8 years old,when they didnt even telivise the whole race-if they are going to let imports in,i think ill be spending more time in the garage,WTF, when we hear people complain about not having work,or thier company moves,tell them to eat the foreign cars in the driveway

I was a totally die-hard NASCAR fan way back when I was a little kid before they ever televised a race. Had to get the news through magazines......Petty was my guy....and Mopar became my brand.

But ever since they took the "stock" out of racing I just plain got bored with it and drifted away.

I hate the equalizing they do.....if one brand of car has a better aerodynamic design, let them reap the benefits......if another brand has the best engine then let it run. I'd rather watch a 73 Charger win by 2 laps than watch 40 cars travel in a traffic jam with periodic pauses for huge pile-ups.

They already have body templates and engine templates are on the way so who cares?  It hasn't been stock car racing for many years and even less so now.  It's the big time Sunday afternoon wrestling of motorsports.
