I bought this dual snorkel air cleaner from a mopar man in my city.  You will see in the below picture that it is apparently missing one of the "vacuum things" on one snorkel.  Where can these be acquired?  The auto parts stores are clueless, and a mechanic told me that it is not needed.  I also am missing the rubber hoses and do not know how they are connected to it.

I am looking for the same piece for a 73 340 air filter.  Also. Good luck finding a K&N filter for it.  I still haven't. They are to big or to small.  SUX!!!  Nice air filter tho :2thumbs:

never have seen those being sold separatelly.

the rubber lines on both sides runs to a Y or T hose conector ( similar to the one on wsher nozzles ) then plug on one of the valve tees, visible when you upside down the air cleaner, no matter wich one. The other tee goes directly to  one of the rear tees o carb ( non ported vacuum source )

That valve on air cleaner is a temp sensor. When engine is cold, makes close the air cleaner actuator doors ( by vacuum from carb ) and engine just take air from the lower entry located at a driver side snorkel. This air is getting hot from exhaust area. For better results, should have a metalic shield mounted on exhaust manifold and then a hose between this shield and the lower cleaner entry. Once engine gets hot, the temp sensor on air cleaner bypass the vacuum and doors are opened.

I bought a disposable filter of unknown name brand for this from Advance Auto.  It fits perfectly.  Do you absolutely have to have a K&N filter for yours?
