Yea....oh boy.......I have said my piece about his parts......I have his nosecone on my car.....lets just say "I would look elsewhere"

Bryan  (not trying to start sumthin' here)

Daytona R/T SE

I bought the whole kit from Ted Janak.

The parts I'm actually USING on my car are as follows:

Wing and it's braces.

Nose Cone.

Headlight Doors.

Fender scoops.

Front valance.

Front spoiler. (maybe)

That's it.

Everything else I got from him made very nice three dimensional patterns for me to fabricate my own parts from steel...

Tons of work and time. If you are not a master fabricator, look elsewhere for parts. Or take my advise:

Don't build a wing car clone-It's a colossal pain in the ass! :eek2:

Some of the Janek noses are good, some not so good. I have an older Janek nose and it's not as nice as the newer nose that Howie has for his car. Personally, I think that they're a lot better than most of the fiberglass pieces out there. I haven't seen a Dayclona nose or wing so I can't give an opinion as to their quality, but I'll bet they're top notch since Mike puts so much effort into the quality of all of his parts.
As for the wing, I love the Janek wing that I have. It's very well made and actually looks like a composite wing with aluminum inserts. Doesn't really look like fiberglass. I had planned to make wings until I saw the quality of this wing. No way that I can make one as well.

I'd still like to know how Showcars went from a shitty feedback rating of only 70+ % all the way up to 98.1%.   :shruggy:

It sure wasn't that big spike in quality & customer service.

I have a complete kit from Janak and am happy with it. Larry (hotrod) has my wing now as I went with one of Danes hollow wings which is  :drool5:.
