thanks guys. i drove it home today. felt so good to drive that car again. it rides very nice and tight, but yet feels stock. bronzy it is an R/T clone, it's an original 318/auto car. here it is just settled into the "stable"

thanks jamey
mark the cuda is my new favorite driver car. it seems smaller than a charger, and is fun to drive.. wish it ws a 340, it's a lowly 318.. harlow that's my building.. if i had to rent a warehouse to store those i'd be broke already. it's hard enough doing oil changes and gas fill-ups in them all

Out of curiousity Travis, what is the most money you have ever spent to buy a classic Mopar?

69charger2002

spent to buy up front? or most totally invested/spent on one?

Have you ever figured out an average.  I realize a lot of the cars mentioned in your sig were purchased a long time ago but you must have a more realisitic idea than most of us here as to what can be found out there.  Not necessarily the turds but the restorable cars that everyone insists are all gone.

1969chargerrtse

Wow, I love the Charger, Y2 Yellow correct?  My car is original Y2 Yellow with a black top and stripe.  Makes me want to strip it down, and have it repainted, but I just got the darn thing and yet to enjoy it.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

69charger2002

there is no doubt in my mind restorable projects are still out there.. though i find more turds than good ones nowaday.  you aren't as likely to come across that owner who's had one for 20 years, never heard of BJ or ebay, and still has no clue of it's value. those days are all but gone. but i am still convinced plenty of restorable reasonably priced charger projects are still out there(just not so many in MY area lol) the key is to have cash in hand, and when you hear of one or see a classified ad, you can't think to ask the wife's permission. it will be too late and someone else will own the deal. you have to be FAST, even if that means travelling a few hours to go look at/purchase the car.
trav

BTW thanks for the compliment bronze. it's been a long hard road to amass that collection, but i can proudly say i have NEVER spent 1 dime of checking account/savings money for any of those cars.. it's ALL a result of buying/selling/trading for 11 years

yessir. it's Y2. i didn't care for it that much when i first bought it. but for the price i wasn't going to be picky(bought it from a member on here 13 months ago).. but it REALLY grows on you.. i still don'tsee how it was "high impact" though lol

average. i guess my average for all my good ones is 10-15000 each. i am sure i have close to $150k in my 11-12 keepers, but they are worth roughly double that..

yes that's a rough 73 challenger project i picked up last week. it's on moparts for sale. it needs a little too  much for me.. those other 2 cars are a 70 318 charger, and a 69 R/T SE though it's hard to tell that..
