I was wondering if dash caps worked great for them or dos or don'ts. Because it's cheaper for a dash cap so I was wondering if it would look good if applied over a cracked one like mine. Any help or experience with them would be great.

i have one in my 72... to get it to fit properly, you will need to remove the dash housing (on a third gen), remove the vent bezel on the passenger side, fit the cap, cut off any material that does not facilitate a good fit, glue cap to pad, remount your vent bezel and reinstall your housing.

I don't need one for my Chargers, but I did get one for my Dart Sport. I have had many A-Body guys tell
me it looks great, changing pads on a Dart Sport with AC, is much more of a pain than a Charger.

If I had a real bad pad, and it was mostly a daily driver, I would definitely consider a dash cap, my
Dart dash pad was caved down about an inch, AZ car........................

Well this cap would be for my 72 Roadrunner because I know it would be easier then putting on a new dash pad like I have stored around since I'm considering of trading it for some parts.

For a '73? They are starting to repop the '69-'70 pads: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,37760.0.html

3rd gens are also being repoped now too, but has been known they are not good quality. Some member on board already got and returned to paddock.
