Roller rockers

Looking to buy the crane gold roller rockers. Question is should I get 1.5 or 1.6 ratio? I have a 292/501 cam. Would I benifit from the extra lift?


Also what push rods do i need.

well it really depends on your cylinder heads if your engine will benefit from increased airflow...without those specs..its hard to say

if this is going to be used for street , I would use the Crane ductile iron rockers instead , the cam you have is long on duration & low on lift so I would use the 1.6 rockers , you should be ok for clearance on the valve guides & pistons up to 535 range but if the piston doesn`t have valve reliefs it could be tight make sure you check piston to valve clearance

Get them...the 1.6 golds are actually 1.65:1 rr. The faster valve action will be beneficial as well as the increased lift. This would be a good setup with your current cam and a set of higher flowing e-heads/indys or whatever you decide on. If you keep the factory heads...have the guides trimmed down before installing these. You need .060 beyond maximum lift for adequate retainer to guide clearance. You will also need to upgrade the valvesprings as well, before installing the rollers....you need .060 past max lift as a safety zone (valve float) and to protect against coilbind.
