what you read... unsure if I will mount or not, but will be nice to check, find and compare with pedestal mount and then decide... this is for me.

7 or 8K... don't think will need more than that.

P.S.: something that would match with Mopar look. I know they were dealer offered ( have a brochure about those )

I see tachs often on Ebay. The "Hustle Stuff" tachs and the Dixco are very popular, but can be very high priced! :yesnod:
There is also the Chrysler Parts tach that mounts on the column they are very hard to find as well but are just as cool.

Only thing I see on Ebay now are Pontiac hood tachs.

Are not the Pontiac ones and the Hustle Stuff ones the same tach but with a different logo?

:iagree: both

yeah... I have the 74 USA dealer brochure around where states as optional dealer option. And somebody posted the Dixco brochure in the past once or twice on board.

However dunno if is just an impresion, but Pontiac ones I have seen on ebay looks somewhat diff. Not sure thought, but seems to be lower and wider... maybe is a year model difference stuff

I was thinking on a small 2" or so autometer vintage to mount on column too, but never have seen or known about what you tell... if you have some info, will be great!!!! Nothing like a pentastar added stuff on a Mopar IMO.

Only what keep me away from a hood tach is open holes on my VIRGIN bulged no vents hood hat I love... but still thinking about.

That'd make me not want to do it either Nacho.  Hood tachs are notoriously hard to read anyway. (or so I've heard, I've never had one)

There is a Demon in my cousin building with one of those. they becomes hard to read when lense becomes yellowed with heat and humidity
