I think you should post that its in the Oakland, Fremont, Hayword, San Francisco area.

Might get a better response.

I would check it out for you if it was closer, but thats a 6 hour drive one way for me.

I don't know how difficult it would be but I think we ( by we I mean the guys that are the computer wiz's, certainly not me ) should have some sort of posting area for guys needing just this kind of help, wether it be a car or expensive parts because of all the rip offs lately on web sites and Ebay. If I were looking to buy say a set of fenders, I would be glad to pay someone for their time and gas to check them out before I plunk down the cash. 3 cases in point, my A/C guy just got ripped off for 12,000 bucks on a non-existing GTO through Ebay and they won't help him at all. I personally just bought a '65 Grand Prix ( I know, its not a Mopar ) for a lot less then its value. Turned out my friend lives about an hour away from it so he checked it out for me and it just so happened that the seller, who was just flipping the car, didn't know what he had and I got lucky that my friend gave it the thumbs up. About 3-4 years ago I was looking at a '68 Charger in Arizona, I'm in Florida and this guy did a GREAT job with the video he sent me but something still didn't seem right, so a 200 plane ticket and 40.00 car rental saved me, the car was a real POS, bondo everywhere, car had been hit hard and frame was bent, etc etc.  It sure would prevent a lot of headaches AND heartaches for all of us and make sure our hard earned money doesn't go for junk, just a thought but I would be willing to go look at something for someone if need be.

I've been down that road.

Another example of why someone needs to physically see the item. If you can't see it, then don't buy it. Simple.

Agreed. Learned my lesson the hard way.

That said, my charger (up to this point) looks like it's in pretty good shape. The guy lied about what type of engine was in the car.

A car I recently bought off of EBAy http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,35861.msg396039.html#msg396039 was not as advertised. I got my deposit money back (the seller was not an intentially deceiving criminal, but just did not know how to show and describe the problems with the car. ). It did cost me $500 in trailer rental and gas,  and 18+ hours of driving. I got off cheap, to put it bluntly....  :brickwall:

So, now I will  see my next car before I commit to buying it.  :P
