How many Chargers have you scrapped?

451-74Charger

I scrapped 1 (73 SE tripple Black)
Well it kind of scrapped itself when it started to fall apart on the driveway while I was taking parts off it to save.
The body was gone, the frame rails had rotted to nothing, the motor full of water, and the interior eaten by mice.
So I guess I only "Helped" scrap the car.

Parted one out last week.  I am parting a 73 Charger, Triple white, factory sunroof, power windows...cool car.   Sorry... it had to go!

I will be parting more out soon.  :nana:

Well, of the chargers i have owned, two went to the big scrap pile in the sky. The first was a 70 383 vinyl top car. The car was titled and driven for many years in Illinios. Then it sat many years in a junkyard. I purchased it about two years ago and brought it home for parts and to piss off my wife. Well, needless to say this was a bucket of rust. Some time in its life the vinyl top ripped and water and salt got inbetween the steel top and the vinyl. As i pulled the vinyl top off the car and exposed the roof, it was sickening. :eek2: You could honestly push your finger through the roof. :'(

The second was a 69 383 4 speed car. This one i stored out at my fathers property. This one i did not personally send to the crusher. I bought it again for parts. Wisconsin car. Actually pretty solid. I stripped many parts off of it. Well, at the time I was driving semi over the road gone quite a lot. I came home one weekend, started working on one of my Chargers and need some part off of this 69 parts car. Drove out to my parents place and my car was gone!!!! :flame: My father deemed it totally stripped and useless. Said it was taking up space. Yeah, he has got 80 acres, with three acres of cars, mine was in the way. Well instead of asking me to remove it he took it to the crusher. GOT 20 FLIPPING DOLLARS FOR IT!!!! :icon_smile_dissapprove:  :flame: That pissed me off, no hard feelings though, right :scratchchin:

And I am debating on a third. It is a 1966 or 67 Charger shell. all that is left is the back seat and the rear frame rail and some sheet metal. Waiting for some first gen owner to come and get it someday. Dont know who yet, but someone will.

Here's a 69 R/T that I didn't part, but I did finish it off. After I took this pic we cut the car in half for the front rails/inner fenders. The back half still sits there to this day.

Can I use that pic for my site? Also, can we see a pic of the backend and where it sits today? :popcrn:

I'd have to go out and take a rear shot sometime as I don't have one with me. There really isn't much left of the rear though...  I'm probably going to make a site someday with all of the pics (couple hundred) that these owners have given me permission to take.

will do that in the morning, i feel bad for her, with several thousands of dollars in rear frame work and sheet metal as well as front fenders and a hood, it might have been savable, but it would have cost a fortune to save, not worth it for just a 318/904, low optioned 74 charger SE

I bet this is a thread that doesn't make any sense to the Luedtke (sp) boys, they have never scrapped a Charger in there lives.

Every Charger is a "great father and son project" and you know that must be true because they "supplied 7 Charger for the Dukes of Hazzard movie"

Here's my next candidate:  a 1972 Dodge Charger.

Charger1973

2 73's.  1 was smashed in the front and the other was rusted beyond repair.

That car donated a very important piece to my project, so it will not be forgotten.   :patriot:
