Don't think a welcome is really the thing in order for new moderators. More like a keep up the good work in order.

Troy keeps improving an already wonderful site.  Even if he prefer's those round tail light cars.

No, I mean you didn't catch where they moved to. It's all better now. You didn't see a thing...

Troy

Gotcha.
You're right, I saw nothing...NOTHING!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

If you're going to start posting a lot we better add some more reinforcements. ;) Seriously, what have you been up to?

To more accurately answer your question... yes - for many reasons. Things always get a little heated in the winter months (no pun intended) and it's an election year once again. Remember all the fun we had last time? More importantly, our site seems to be losing its open door atmosphere and no longer seems as inviting and welcoming as it once was. I'm frankly appalled and disappointed in the number of long-time members (and new ones as well) that we've been losing due to some of the attitudes around here. Self-moderation is obviously failing so something needed to be done to steer things back into a more positive direction. Keep in mind that the site has been growing steadily (and quickly) so we have more members, more traffic, and more threads than ever. The moderators and I tend to spend all of our time moderating and not much time interacting and enjoying the site so spreading the load is a definite goal. Ideally, moderating would only require moving the occasional misplaced thread and helping people use the site.

Plus, I need to spend more time finishing the rest of the site. It's been almost two and a half years and we still only have a forum. All the "cool" stuff that I had planned has been on the back burner for far too long. Some of those things require a helping hand (or two) as well. If I could get a better solution for the seemingly never-ending spam problem I'd be a lot further along. :brickwall:

Well Troy I have been doing the Dad thing for the last 14 months and a fair amount of OT at work. I purchased a set of reconditioned 452 heads from Indy at the nats as the 906's were milled BIG TIME...I should have checked before bolting them on.

You are not  :stirthepot:  RD. I like the third gen stuff.  When I was 17 my Aunt Debby, (VegasMike's mom), was going to sell me her 71' B5 blue 383 Magnum Super Bee for $800.00... My mother told me she would kick my but if I so much as started that loud ass thing one time in her driveway.. That was the end of that dream... :shruggy:  I loved that car.. Deep dish Cragars S/S mags on the rear and the same but cookie cutters up front. Black top and interior. Damn it mom.....  :slap:

Winter can be rough around here.  A lot get their feathers ruffled easily.

That's a winter thing?

Seriously though, congratulations and good luck.

I don't think it needs an enima....rather some rash ointment over the affected areas.

Charger-Bodie

Fellow charger people,

first off Id just like to say that this site is the best on the web.when I found dodgecharger.com I was looking for a place to hang out, share the progress of my Charger project, and make some new friends.what i got is a whole nother family.

When I came to this website I found a nice welcome and thats why I stayed! If I would have walked in on some of the childish crap some people do around here I would have probably kept on moving. Think about the people who leave when they see this type activity and the ones that move on after a short time because of that. We could lose some really great people and not even know!

I guess what I'm saying is If you here to celebrate the Dodge Charger Then awesome, but leave the smart A** stuff at the door and save it for when you run into you're buddy with a Camaro

Lets all take part in helping the greatest site on earth grow "positive" By treating eachother with respect and courtesy!

with that said you can probably figure out what the main things I'm gonna watch for !! PLAY NICE!!         .........the people on this site are good people who share the love of chargers, and then theres some who while still sharing the love for Chargers, also like to cause trouble on the site, being rude, mean ,and disrespectful towards others! some of them will argue that its a forum of free speech and they are just expressing their feelings.well this is a Charger site not a room with a couch in it. If you have a question about Chargers, or want to help someone that does, then great but whats the thrill of being a jerk to someone derailing someone Else's  legitimate thread just so you can feel superior for a minute behind a keyboard
