Cool! I knew it was either a Track or Super Track pack car since I could verify everything except the drive ratio (of course) - I think I've  narrowed down the shops to do the resto job... has anyone here had any experience with Jeff's Resurrections in Taylor, TX? Sounds like a first class operation geared towards perfection (def. not going to be cheap, but it sounds like you'll get what you pay for) - and it's a plus to know he has 4-5 other Hemi cars on location and a Superbird to boot, so plenty of experience with B/E-Bodies and Hemis...

...I know hindsight's 20-20, but why the hell couldn't I have just gone with my first instinct!!!!

It definitely needed some serious work. Maybe a good parts car was needed too.   :popcrn:

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Just curious, will the day come when Mr Govier will say that a car is to bad to be restored and seen as a original?

Uh-oh... I'm back!!!

Between the craziness of work, getting settled into a new house, having deal after deal fall through on our old house (and FINALLY getting rid of it), a wife pregnant with our second child, and about a thousand other things, I just haven't had any time to make it over here and give you guys an update...

Things are still going good - not as quickly as we'd like, but good... I have not seen the car in person for about two months, but I'm actually heading to Austin for the weekend to watch the 'Horns play Saturday so we are going to take a quick detour to Taylor to check up on the Hemi Charger... metal work should nearly be complete (took forever to finally get the replacement roof panel from AMD) and most of the individual parts have been restored - from the pics Jeff has been continually sending me things look good... I don't want to go into too much detail, I just wanted to check back to let everyone know that I'll have a ton of pictures probably Sunday evening after we get back... Can't wait!

Here we go!  Metal work looks GREAT! All the gaps are perfect and all of the repop/recycled/fabricated metal blends great... here's a few pictures:

Yes sir! We had to use a little metal here/there (mainly pieces from hood) - but the car will be reassembled using left over parts and sold when we are done with everything with the 383 stroker and spare A833 4sp tranny...

Pics of parts, etc - engine block is done and at machinist, heads are almost done and they will start assembling everything around the K-member in the next week or so... next time you see pics it should really start looking like there is light at the end of the tunnel!

A couple of pics of some other "metal" in the shop - 440 6-pk, 4sp shaker hood convertible 'Cuda (1 of 27 and only 1 in that color) and 340 4sp shaker hood convertible 'Cuda (owned by same guy - very rare also and I saw pictures of what they started with... it was in 10X worse shape than mine!)....
