I went to the junkyard today to get some parts for my 87 shelby Z, and I saw that they are getting a good selection of old cars in the back. Right now for mopars they only have a FuryIII hardtop with a small block, but there is a duster that they have in front that they said will be going in soon too. They also have a ton of chevys and a few old fords too. nothing older than 60s, but there are good parts there.

I am going back on sunday to get brake calipers, does anyone need any parts for any of their projects? I can pick them up for you if they have any. small things I can ship, If they are big, I can hang on to them for a week or so. Let me know if you need anything.  People have helped me so much on this forum already, I would like if I could help them, and this seems like a good way.

Did you see any '66 Pontiac Tempest's in there.  I am looking for this part
the shift selector letters ( P RND)

Thanks

There were a couple pontiacs. Ill see what I can find. I dont recall a tempest, but do you have an idea what other vehicles it can come from? If you have a larger picture of it I can look on other vehicles for it.

The part I need can be found on 66 Tempest's and Lemans.  It could be found on GTO's, but only column shift ones.  Don't kill yourself trying to find it, but if you do I can paypal you the money or send you a money order.  Here are a few pics of the car, so you can get an idea what to look for.

The part is a one piece chrome that is removed with a screwdriver.

Like I said, don't kill yourself trying to find it, but thanks for the offer

Its called bessler's U pull and save. www.upullandsave.com They used to only have only the random late 70's firebird/camaro from time to time, but they have moved a TON of stuff around lately, and have about a dozen or so cars from the 60's and 70's. Like I said they dont have much yet, but im hopeing that this is a sign of things to come.

They are pretty anal about selling whole cars from their yard. I havent tried, but I have friends that have, and NONE have been successful. Ive been going ot that yard for about 3 years now, and they have been pretty good with their prices. Im just hopeing they dont start bringing in cars that are restorable.  that duster that is there looks like its fairly solid, and aside from the wreck in the front, it would be a good start to a project for someone. :shruggy:
