im pretty sure i new the guy that owned this aar in 1987.he actually cut quarter panels off or he bough them from a 70 white aar and had them welded on.we used to all hang out at a repair shop on baseline rd west of 44th st. in phx az at the time.he said the car was coded for bottle cap hubcaps but i thought you could only get those on t/a challengers.i had my 68 charger 440 4spd car and a 68 383 gts.the guy who owned the place had a 70 440 sixpak 4spd coronet r/t and a 68 gtx among others.and a guy from north or south dakota used to come in in his 69 orange  440 sixpak superbee.i guess his family was big into mopars up there.sorry bout the rant

Seems that there must be a connection from North Dakota and the Pheonix area. My 500 sold new in North Dakota and wound up in Pheonix within a year.

Do you know if this guy was ever in Tucson?  I remember seeing an AAR (I think) when I was a kid at a 7-11 about 10 years ago.  From what I remember it was pretty nice, but then again I was a kid and all cars were nice.
