I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this, but I started a site that is free and helps people who have been frustrated trying to trade their car for another car.  I had listed my 72 454 vette conv on ebay a while back.  I wanted to fulfill a life long dream of owning a 69 Charger R/T.  It was not a good experience at all.  I dealt with many people  on the phone and net, and had people over my house, digging through the car, pulling up rugs etc.  I never got my price and for the next year, kept scrolling the net looking for someone who would maybe trade my vette for their Charger.  I almost had a deal, but he changed his mind.  I was so frustrated that I talked to friend about starting a site to help people like me, meet others that would maybe have something I'm interested in to swap?  Long story short.  I listed the vette again, a great guy from Jersey came up, saw the matching #'s Big Block, 4spd, leather, PW and only 58K vette conv, and what a great deal it was at 29,500.00 and she was gone.  I still had the idea and some part of the trade site sitting around though.  I found a Charger on ebay ( thats another whole story) and even though my dream was met,  I remember the frustration I went through trying to swap my car.  So I sat back down, worked with my friend and I'm happy to say the site is up and running.  I would love to see a site like this stay out there,  a site where we can go and surf around looking at cars that others are telling you right out, hey, I'm interested in swapping?  I advise people to list a price also, you never know.   I hope this can be of use to anyone, and if you have some time take a peek at www.carsnotforsale.com.  and let me know what you think? Thanks. Rob M

I see it's in it's infancy, but i like what I see, i'd be interested in putting my road runner on there just to see what offers i got/get...
I think it's an awsome idea, and when you go public with your first public offering like Google, E-bay, or You-tube remember, who I am, K?..   :D

BTW: no rules broken, a variety of folks have debuted (sp?) their web-sites on here,... the small three thousand dollor fee is directly payable to me...   An invoice is in the mail.  :D

Brock Samson

You'll be hearing from the owner of a certain yellow PLymouth in the near future.

Great idea.

Honestly, in these days of a somewhat volatile muscle car market, trading definately has a lot of appeal. If you're looking to move a car, but want to stay in the game, it minimizes exposure to market fluctuation. I think your's is an idea who's time has come.
