trans lines to rad

Since putting headers on my trans lines don't quite line up to reach the radiator. I have to curve them around the drivers side and I cannot tell which one went to which side of the radiator.
Does it matter and since I have to extend them should I use hardline or rubber?

I've used rubber many times on tranny lines....no problems there. Just make sure the rubber is away from any direct heat sources. I like to double clamp any rubber to hardline joint for added sealing.
