Massively Over Powerd And Respected

So I went to the body shop on Thursday and saw the car... the shop mgr told me that the car was all set to be painted on Friday and that if I wanted I could hang in the shop all day Friday to watch and document the paint process... Needless to say I was in the shop @ 10 am Friday morning and didn't leave (save for lunch) until 6pm when the car received it's base coats...  :drool5:... They let the base sit overnight and cleared the car this morning!  So I was back at the shop after they shot the clear....

The best part of the story was that my dad, DID NOT, know they were doing anything to the car, so I had the guys at the shop tell him that the car was out in the lot to get him pissed off (considering it's cold and icy over here)... He was pissed  :flame: until they turned the lights in the paint booth on.. then he couldn't stop smiling... after a lot of  :brickwall: and  :flame: it was good to see my dad  ;D and

Well enough of the back story... here are the pics

the painter is wearing a shoot suit. those are great as they breath out the back so you don't sweat , and have velcro cuffs and a hood. I can't believe some people still use those tyvek sweat suits. so to the novice painter  better get a shoot suit.

okay it's been 10 weeks since the car had its stage 1 paint done... since that time the care was wet sanded and all of the imperfections were found and addressed.. also, during that time that chrome was shipped out and re-plated.  The car was re-painted yesterday and boy does she look tight... the body is arrow straight and the paint is deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.  We also have started receiving the interior bits from Legendary... so with that said, here are some progress pics...

Just before Stage 2:
