I'm not sure it's really worth buying.

First of all, it's obviously a dealer demonstrator. Look at all the miles on it.
Second, they actually admit to having had an accident with it.
Third, those exhaust pipes seem to have a lot of rust on them.
And finally, are they even offering any kind of warranty with this car?

I'd low-ball 'em.

Sorry but by the looks of that undercarriage I have a hard time believing the mileage is actual.  Just how many of these "low mileage" cars' are running around with the speedo disconnected?  ;)

It's a way neat car tho.  :2thumbs:

Aside from, the nose, if it truly is an original paint car as delivered, it seems like a price it should sell for pretty easily with the history and documentation.

OK, lets say the speedo was disconnected, and maybe it's got 11,000 miles.    Big deal, plus it's tough to prove.

Look at the guage faces on the dash cluster.  They're beautiful, like new.

The price is not so very far removed from what some people are asking for wrecks.  It's more than I can pay but compared to some, it almost seems reasonable. ("compared to some" and "almost" being the key words there)

If it is an original paint car, that's great.......... BUT, it would take every onze of discipline within me not to "clean up"  all that overspray from the upper firewall area.

Man, that's for sure. :yesnod: You'd think the guy would at least degrease it under there a little.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Would love to own that car.

Heck I'd just love to go and go over that car taking photo's.

Again, if it is truly original, some buyers will not want you to even wash the car, let alone rinse the grease off.    Crazy, I know, but that's the way it is.

Here's an example of a barn find Bugatti that sold for $700,000 at auction.    Although the paint probably would have cleaned up, they didn't bother to wash it either.  It went just like it sat in the garage for 40 years.    Part of the history to prove it's been sitting for a long, long time.

WOW the dealership was asking $225+ for it (that's what they claimed they turned down for it.)  they were hinting that 250k would be the right number.

the car has had more than one body repair.  also, call dressler up and talk to the kid (now in his 50's) and ask about all the times he and friends ripped around in it, how they drove it to baltimore for an orioles game, how they drove it from the dealer they bought it from in florida, etc, how it was smacked up (minor stuff that needed repainting) while moving it around the shop...  it has a new gas tank and if i remember correctly one or both mufflers.

it is a VERY cool car--the originality under the hood alone is worth looking at the car.  the interior is the nicest i've ever seen, and hell for $185K it's not really expensive...steve klein bailing on this car, dave in california dropping prices on his wing cars--these guys have big bills or are they afraid to wait out this dip in the market?
