Hoping someone can keep this old fart from scratching out what hair I have left ! Desparately need photos of how the grille mount ing brackets in a 72 non hide-away headlight car are mounted. Bought the brackets from a very nice guy in Conn. but don't have a clue as to how they bolt in the bumper etc. Any help greatly appreciated. Ed. fastredx@yahoo.com  :brickwall:

71, but the same:

to be honored to the thruth, 73/74 catalog shows better but I don't have a scanner. Maybe these to pics won't help as much, beside the psoition they takes, but not were bolts.

The outer ones what probably are the harder to imagine if you never have seen them mounted fits on tops on upper reinforcement but bottom fits ON BUMPER itself... matches with two holes there, at very end of bumper.

Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Nacho, thanks for the pics. at least it gives me an idea of where these brackets are located. If any one has behind the bumper shots it would sure help. Ed.

These are pics of the driver's side grille. You can see where the top of the brackets are mounted. The bottom of the brackets are mounted on two holes on the bottom of the bumper.

Thanks for the pics, they will help a lot!! I get the feeling though from looking at the pics that I may be missing something else. I think I will set the bumper in place and mock everything up that I can and see what it looks like. Does the reinforcement piece(#13-64-4 in the drawing that Nacho supplied) bolt to the top of the bumper? Thanks.Ed.

Yes, that's that dirty piece of steel you see on the top of my bumper. I live on a dirt road, that car's hard to keep clean.

I have just made a startling discovery!! I have discovered that the first sign of senility is buying parts that you don't need .After begging for help on this forum--and getting it, I discovered that I had not one but two sets of grill brackets already bolted to bumpers just where they are supposed to be !!! And I bought a set from a very helpful guy in Conn. !! This car was apart when I got it and came with some extra parts(and missing some --I think!) Including two bumpers with EVERYTHING  I need to install the grill. Can anyone reccommend a good Doctor--I really need help!!

I meant of the car. From what I could see it looks pretty sharp.
