I got my new wing now where do I mount it? I know on the rear deck lid :smilielol:. How far is the pedistal from the lip?
Thanks
Bob

Khyron

I would think it would be way too short for a 3rd gen.

I put the 70 style wing on my 73 and I like it alot, I think it really sets off the lines.

I've read allot of good things about these wings on Mopars with no complaints. Measurement wise they are almost the same. I think there is a 1/4 inch difference in length but look at the money savings. 41 Husk, you have a pic?

If you look at Ebay, the prices are very reasonable compared to the Mopar one. Unless you have a concourse car, who would know?

Let me see if I can post it up now last time it said I already had one?

I bought a '71-'73 Mustang wing for my car :yesnod: And the pedestal measurements are the same.

45 minutes to go, high bidder, woke up, lost it by 50 cents. Oh well, there is a whole lot more.

Thanks Troy, you the man.  That is the $185 wing from first choice,  I have no complaints with it.  It is a mopar wing as well.

Ok, this morning I went and picked up my wing. It's awesome :icon_smile_big: Anyway, where do I drill my holes? How far is the pedistal away from the rear lip?
I'm going out and work on the charging problem some more and will be back to check later.
Thanks
Bob

TruckDriver

The under side of the trunk lid should have the spots on the lid frame where the mounts were on the '71 Chargers. Just center and square the holes in the center of the pad area using the spoiler stud lenths. Drill from the inside out. Just be sure to drill the hole plum straight as you have to go through the inner frame then the deck lid skin.

Bob

The 74 lids don't have that. I think 73 was the last year.
So I guess I just need to get a measurement from the lip up to the back of the pedistal and center.

Nacho-RT74

71 was the only year with the spots down the lid. some later could have it if factory maybe still had on stock, and of course dealers as replacement parts. but theorically all 72 and laters had the flat surface but not the cut outs.

here the 71 spots:

Nacho, do you know how far the base of the pedistal is from the edge of the trunk lid?

Bob

Thanks Twilt/Tom
