I found these tires for sale on a local  savings bank's web site the other day. They are an original set of late  60's  Goodyear F-70-14 Speedway Wide Treads. The guy selling them said that he had picked them up from a  neighboor who was throwing them out. Needless to say, I bought them for a very good price.  The tires are very nice and show almost no wear at all.  I just put on a set of 15" Magnum 500s and radial red lines this summer, but I still have the original steel rims and wheel covers for these tires to go on.  I just might turn that white wall into a red wall because that is what my Charger originally came with.

SWEET! I like the whitelines....especially if its a survivor.  The redlines look good on your car as well  :2thumbs:

My tire code on the fender tag is "44" for the F-70 red walls. The code for F-70 white walls is "46" . Does anyone out there have a  68 R/T that was a factory white wall tire car?  :icon_smile_question: The Charger in Bullitt appears to have white walls on it....

You may have already been asked this, but can you please post some pics of your 68 R/T? I have one too but it looks like it sat in a horsey pasture for about 20 years...HA HA, :smilielol: IT DID!...

Not a survivor any more with those tires.   :icon_smile_big:  That is a beautiful car.  I saw the pics you posted before.  Here's a link for dpm68: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,10525.0/all.html

True...but you have to admit that it will look better than those mid 70's Sear's F-78's wide white walls that came with the car when I bought it last year. The original owner was too cheap to buy F-70's when it came time to replace the red walls.
