I did the same thing on my '68 Hemi Charger R/T. our cars were dipped in a primer tank to about mid-quarter-panel.. When the car was painted, there was overspray along the outer edges and from the top of the firewall pointed down. The underside of our cars never got painted. More times than not, black undercoating was applied to cars, so you don't see the primer. Nowadays, there are several companies that produce a paint product that duplicates the primer color, but is actually paint, not primer....

The redline Goodyear repros arrived last week from Kelsey's latest run...four of them have been mounted on the reproduction "recall" wheels, and a fifth will be mounted on a stock steel wheel for the spare tire...  The wheels required a special adapter for balancing by the lug holes as specified by Specialty Wheel.  Ken's Superbird was nearby with the wheels off...Sooooooooooo..................

Pic 3... Took my `Cuda 440-6 to it's first show of the year with a friend's help
Pic 4... Scored a set of "NOS" unissued 1968 Texas YOM license plates on eBay.... not cheap, but I have been looking for 15+ years... have decided FVD*426 stands for "Favorite Vintage Dodge 426"  ... the plates will be registered for my triple black 1968 Hemi Charger R/T

Hey Allen, Are those NOS taillights or is that a used set you restored? They look really good.    Took a while but I've picked up 2 sets of NOS 69 Iowa plates. They really weren't that bad price wise off Ebay. Just takes a little looking. But on the other hand they aren't numbered 426 either. Good score!!
