Thanks y'all for the pat on the back, but just trying to do my job and replicate what Allen's 500 deserves! The other two areo cars I know like the back of my hand, but tonite I was thrown for a loop
OK now school me on the conversion over at creative,I liked or comments or see some firewall shots of the vacuum hoses taped up in a ball, wad, cut off at the grommet  or however they left after the conversion.
Thanks Ken

Ken, the vaccum hose system would be just like any other '69 Charger. Creative's tech's were not standardized in the modifications of the headlamp vacuum hose system. For me, my 1st Charger 500 was cut at the firewall, about 2 to 3 inches protruding out the grommet. Now, my current Charger 500 the hoses were left in place and cut out by the firewall. I would put the hoses back together like any other '69 Charger. The end of the hoses now will just terminate where they are. Makes sense? If you know Daytonas, then you'll know 500's. Just remember, 500's all started life as a regular '69 Charger R/T. They cut the hoses to separate them from the headlamp pods (either close or far by the firewall ). I'm assuming the vacuum port on the back of the motor for the headlamp system was plugged.

There are more pictures at Chris' '69 Charger registry page

Thanks Troy,
The vacuum line routing looks a lot nicer and cleaner  than balled or waded up and taped then shoved into the bracket above the master cylinder that was described to me earlier. I was thinking there's no way I could ever let a car leave my shop looking like that

Ken, You can see the blue paint on the hoses in one of the pictures Allen took. So, I would venture to say the shop that did the last paint job removed them from the driver's side inner fender and just moved them out of the way, never putting them back. Now, you should see two holes in the top horizontal portion of the inner fender. That's where the two white retaining clips, which had the hoses taped to them, would snap into.. I'm sure you know what clips I'm referring to. Should be similar, if not the same, as those used on the Daytonas and Superbirds.....

Ken I will sort through some pics for you. Want me to email them to you? On my 500 the hoses are still run like a normal charger even just laying back behind the grille area.

Allen it's so nice of you to fix the 500 up before I buy it from you.  ;) just kidding. Looks great. One of these days I will break down and fix mine.

You can start with the headliner......  :nana:
Working on that one actually. That and an exhaust system and even going to replace some front end pieces to make it ride a little better.

Allen
What gear ratio is your car?
It sounds good

Hi Bob...  Although the car came with 4.10s, it still has the 3.54s that the second owner installed during the 1973 fuel crisis... Remember when we tried it against your Hemi out near Fey's back 30 years ago in San Antonio?... Your Hemi won, but Ol' Yeller gave it a good run, and even now with 40+ old tired engine it still runs fairly strong...

Allen, I test drove the Hemi Cuda today.  I attached a u-tube clip.  Its like they are racing again 30 year later, except 3.54s in the Hemi now.

Great video !  :2thumbs:
Although I'd be a little concerned about posting that stating your went over the speed limit , especially when there's a 55 MPH sign as you are driving.
Let me guess, Route 83, ND?  :D
