I'm not that partial to Muslim's or any religion for that matter, but this is bulshit. I agree that what he is saying is pretty fucked up, but don't we have a lot of nutcases on TV screaming out the biggest nonsence you have ever heard? I know quite a few Muslims actually, ranging from a little strict to pretty strict (no they are not terrorists) and my roommate actually had a relationship with a guy from Iran for 5 years.

This is like showing the discussion that was on TV here a year or so ago with the guy running the political party that was pro child porn and no limitations for adults to have sex with children and putting that up on YouTube translating it and saying Pro Child Porn discussion on Dutch TV. You all would think we were pretty fucked up.

Yes we do have a lot of trash TV here and as you pointed out there are a "lot of nutcases on TV screaming out the biggest nonsence you have ever heard" but the show I linked is quite obviously a debate about a current practice and belief system, not a debate about legalizing/instituting a screwed-up ideal such as child molestation. These people are talking about how to beat your wife not if you should beat her so your comparison does not apply.

I will say that if you take a deranged piece of anything and throw it up as an example of what an 'average'  is, yep, it'll seem screwed up.
