You all remember that one right, the dark red fiberglass mock up from 1968 often compared to a corvette with the one piece canopy and speed brakes?..

http://www.dodgecharger.org/html/charger_iii.html

So anyhow, the Oct. issue of collector automobile ('61 Chysler 300 G convert on the cover) has an Personality Profile (page 68) on designer/builder Vince Gardner who apparently was instermental in making the exreamly difficult fiberglass mock up for Dodge and DST (Dearborn Steel Tubing) and was responsible as well for several other FORD and AMC one offs, one of which was a two seater first gen mustang and the '65 AMX II, which looks alot like a smaller Riviara or Cougar. You can tell the sytling studios were swipeing designs from one another shamlessly...
Good info: and great pictures (with the exception of the Charger III which is only the black and white sketch).

Great Magazine without adverts well worth the subscription costs... i recomment it highly.

BTW: Jim Ebejer gets the designing credits dispite the the original 1963 mid engine double diamond design which is credited to R. Sias...
