Guy's, this is not what Mopar People should act like, sounded more like the crap said at a Ricer site.

May have just blew off a good guy. At best, he will think all Mopar People are jerks.

Just because you don't like the new Charger does not mean we would have not liked him. Besides, maybe we would have became a fan if not all ready of the Chargers we love.

Play nices with the new kids.

I agree completely... I think he was exactly what he said he was, and had no idea of the reception he was going to get...  :icon_smile_dissapprove:

I don't know what the intended outcome of the hostility is, it seems pointless to me!!!  :-[

FYI, he did find the link and has made his first post over there:

http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2190

So those wanting to send him away REJOICE... you got the job done... YOU HAPPY NOW???!!!

I have been in the hobby for over 30 years and personally saved dozens of MoPars from the crusher, including many Chargers... I am not sure I enjoy the hobby very much anymore.  Too much $$$ involved and too much

Thanks, Ken, I agree. Some around here are truly jerks, much unlike most of the Mopar people I have met in person. Just because I don't care for the looks of other peoples cars doesn't mean I have to be an asshole about it. :icon_smile_dissapprove:

Oh, and officially, this is a 69 Dodge Charger site, we only let the others hang around because they have nowhere else to go. In my opinion anything other than a 1969 Dodge Charger is a butt ugly POS and should go find another site, WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE!!!

And if you don't have a numbers matching big block with a 4 speed AND a power sunroof, you suck as a human being.

Sorry, I was just as shocked at posts in the beginning of this thread. I am embarrassed to be associated with those guys. That new guy may have a Hemi Daytona sitting in his garage next to his new Charger, but we will never know now, will we. Idiots. :icon_smile_angry: :flame:

  Where's your sarcasm detector???

I bet this guy does have a rare mopar.  And the one it'll piss-off most is the Registry guys, since they can't get his info.

Headrope

Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.

nuati2d

well, no - the place for 69's is over at the NAGLFC site (but you Dukes guys already knew that...)

440magnum l2

Some guys can surely be PRICKS! So the guy has a new charger.I test drove one, and I have to say that they are quick! For the narrow minded, think of them as a very high performance family car! And, like it or not, a MOPAR! Actually, I kinda like the looks. However, it is NOT a 2nd gen. charger!( Or 1st, or 3rd) And for the record, I do have a 68 Charger R/T, so therefore I am NOT a "ricer'! Anyway, cut the guy a break and lets help him out! :)

I think where the people that posted the nasty stuff forgot something. This was not a post from one of us about what we think about the new Charger Thingie :icon_smile_big: But a new person that has one.

I messaged him, he is my age (old) and hopes he reads it.

As far as taste in Charger's, make mine a 68-70. I don't really care for the other gen's near as much. But I have and never post why do you mess with a 19-- what ever Charger with a 318 and think it a real Muscle Car. Guys, that is what Grand Pap bought to haul Grand Ma to the store.

As far as the mud slingers, that new Charger just might eat your lunch.

Bad Bob, you have a hole in your roof ;D I can fix that. :icon_smile_big:

There not pricks, just forgot what this site is about.

PS, if you needed a VIN number to join this site, there would be a lot less menbers.

Not really. The opinions of some on this site shouldn't change anyone's decision to register with one of the registries.

What pisses me off is when someone emails me about a loaded '70 Charger 500 with the A35 and H51 options asking about whether that was possible. After giving that person the help they needed, they still didn't register the car. That's what bothers me...Jude.   :icon_smile_wink

I'm a prick I guess.  Sorry I guess it was above my Junior member status to say what this board is about.  I just dont think anyone here has a love for those cars.... and that I certainly could not help him in anyway.  NEXT Time   I will just shutup.... I do have better things to do than be a smart a$$

MY opinion for the record is that no NEW charger should have that NAME PERIOD.  I heard a radio ad about the rebirth of the muscle car being a new charger... BS.

I WILL NEVER DRIVE one, sit in one, or otherwise think of one as a muscle car until they (DC) make something that resembles a muscle car. ..... AND NO THEY(muscle cars) do not have 4 doors. PERIOD.....  I think those are called SLEEPERS..... an undesirable car bought by someone that could not have the real thing and added some performance mods to grandmas car..... ::) :rotz:

THERE THAT IS MY OPINION....

I think he was being sarcastic. :P

My post was meant to be helpful & humorous, hopefully it was received that way. I didn't mean to slam the guy at all.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Even though your car is a 70, it is blue and white like mine so you can be forgiven. :icon_smile_big:

Im extremely upset here.

I can't stay here because my 69 doesn't have a sunroof or any of the other options
it's not a big block

and now I’m a "hillbilly that thinks carbs are better then computers and FI"

I guess I need to sell my car and kill myself now   ;)

P.S. Carbs are better then FI and computers if you know what your doing so  :P

Isn't it great...  (How we've been so upset over that thing, that we JUMP all-over the poor guy)...  Wow.  We Must LOVE our classics.  I know I do.  This same thing happened in the GM community over the GTO.  I hope they had at least as much "Grace" as MoPar people USUALLY have :)     I know, I know...  I'm not selling out...  I still hate the thing (as a "Charger").

I don't even own a Charger but, my dad does of course he has 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye.
