Here goes...when I step on the brake my aftermarket tach will drop about 500 rpm (and yes I do have power brakes) and sometimes (only sometimes) the stereo will shut off and go back on when I step on the brake.  What do you think would be the cause of this?  Is it a grounding problem?  I put a new grounding strap in the engine bay from the firewall to the block.  Any suggestions?

The radio will cut out if the voltage drops to low. Somewhere around 10 volts.

I also suspect the tach is electric. And it will also do strange things when it has low voltage.

I would appear that someplace the wiring isnt so great.

The taillights are a big draw and are just bringing the issue out.

I would check the positive wires for the Radio and tach (if its electric of course) and see what

you come up with.

I suspect you will find them jammed into the fuse box with the taillights.
