well one tranny guy i talked to thought the coverter failed / broke , another one thought it must have been in the tail shaft

   well it was a huge boom like i thought i had blown up the motor  :shruggy:   no crack visible yet

  but the speedo cable did become a causualty

Where is your shifter linkage bushing???  :lol:

Your talishaft is cracked I can see it in that pic with the missing bushing.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

  Well it was dark the other morning and I had a could complaints about my dim headlamps
 so i finally pulled the trigger and bought a set of outer modern hlps . They said they are low amp ones so i dont need relays

you are right. We can't say you don't push your car anymore. Now you need to push it into the garage, out of the garage, up the trailer, etc.  :lol: :D

I'd say get Scott out there and put in the 6 speed. You know you want to.  :2thumbs: And why not relay the headlights? its real easy. I made a harness for mine that was plug and play and was done in less than an hour for around 50-60 bucks worth of materials.

that's what I did to my black 66 back in the late 70's...they are still in there as well
