Hi folk,

I thought that I would post up this video (that was made by a '70 Charger R/T SE owner) of our local MoPar club doing a car show/cruise at the annual American Fork Steel days celebration that takes place in the early part of July every year. theres a few dodgecharger.com members involved.  :2thumbs:

The local police dept. puts this baby on. it starts with a car show in a nice, shaded park, then they close down their Main St. to the general public, allowing all car show entrants to cruise up and down (all night if desired) while the towns people line the sidewalks in their lawn chairs hootin' an' a hollerin' as you drive by. it's a riot!

also, going on at the same time, over in front of the court house, the local Fire dept. holds a burn-out contest. all who attend to spectate, get to vote on the winner (usually someone from our club bring home the trophy). it's the funnest show that we do all year! check out the vid:

That's a cool video.  :yesnod:
I was able to watch the last half of the cruise from the sidelines. I couldn't believe how many Chargers showed up at that event! :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Maybe next year we can get you to cruise with us in your Charger, right Grant?  :2thumbs:

there were some real sweet '70 Chargers there, as well as '69 models that I had not seen before.

That would be fun, I've been half tempted lately to just slap it together enough to cruise. :scratchchin: Although, mine would definitely be the ugly duckling out of the bunch. Maybe I could trophy in the "junkyard escapee" class...hmmm. :smilielol:

Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

actually, I think everyone in the cruise gave a little uncapped rev to the local enforcement team. alot of the police officers had some pretty nice rides as well.  :yesnod:
