8.75 id?

How can I tell if my rear axle is an 8.75 rear end.  Its in my 74 SE 318/904.  However, the car has optional 11 inch brakes, and the guy I bought it from swore up and down that it has an 8.75 under it?  Fendertag is gone, so ay help will be appreciated

The 8 3/4 has  the bolts on the front side and a welded rear cover.  I cant imagine that car coming with an 8 3/4 so if you have one under there i'd say its not stock...

The 8 1/4 rear will have a bolted on rear cover.
