Just recieved a leaf spring rebuild kit in the mail from Jim's Auto. After I get the springs back together, what can I do or how should I finish/paint the springs? The springs are in good shape, have good arch, and have been wire wheeled to remove all the rust and corroded zinc plates. I think someone told me it's possible to get them back to the original (or close proximity) color instead of leaving them rust colored or painting them black. :scratchchin:

Thanks guys,

I'm trying to decide wether to just do black, but I like the cast/gray color for some reason...maybe because it off-sets some of the under carriage components. I just don't want to go through the hassle of painting them only to find out the paint it going to chip and crack off after a few days of driving.
