It's the headlight spring for the hidden headlights. I know I've got a bunch of them around here...somewhere..... but I can't find the damned things...:'(

I had posted an ad in the parts wanted section a few weeks ago but no luck, so I thought I might get lucky here...

I'd like to have two or three pairs...

Isn't that same spring in manual crank window mechanisms?

Looking for a CD by  'The Sub-Mersians'  entitled "Raw Love Songs From My Garage To Your Bedroom"

Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.

Nope, the window spring is like 4X bigger...

I think those are going to be tough to come by.  You might get lucky on ebay and find some on a busted up set of grilles to take them from, but I doubt too many people have a bunch of extras of just the springs laying around.

Bandit72

yeah, they are fairly hard to come buy i have 1 extra i keep for a spare, but thats it...

bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,

just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

The real bitch of it is this:  I grabbed these every time I saw them in the junkyards for years (remember when there were Chargers in the junk yards? ) I know I've got several pairs in a coffee can around here somewhere, and after looking for about five hours a few weeks ago with no luck I just gave up :shruggy:

I really don't think I'm going to find that coffee can until I build my new garage and literally tear my old storage shed apart...there's been several things go into that shed never to be seen again....there might be some kind of vortex to a parallel dimension in that shed :o

In the mean time I think I'll just rob the ones off of my '71 Imperial parts car,( Unless somebody here comes up with some) they're a little stiffer and heavier than the charger ones, but I think I can make them work...
