Then theres always the Dick Landy 68 charger that was released a couple years ago.Combine that the still available '69 and you get a lot of options(vinyl roof or painted roof, engines etc).

That is the one that is being reissued, They are just adding the missing stock stuff to it so it will be a 2 in 1. Give it just a little time.

Really cool! Since my full size one will not be here for a while, does anybody have a suggestion where to get a nice 68 model, biggest pssible scale????

I think the only option is the original MPC '68 Charger kit in 1/25 scale and will be expensive.   The original MPC '68 kit tooling was updated to make the 69 & 70 Chargers as well as the Daytona and later Dukes and Charger 500 kits.

Take heart, REvell is reissuing the 68 R/T kit pretty soon. Give it a little time.

What's te time frame on that being rereleased???? I bought one off ebay but the body is a 69 body just like the other model...it says to fill in the reflectors with hobby putty and add the decals of the side markers on it :flame:

pettyfan43

That is how the car will be released this time as well. The company that owns Revell now isn't changing anything, just reissuing kits, BUT they are putting the stock parts back into the 68 which was originally a race car.

My "Topless" 1968 Charger model; after a prolong period of inattention, this is today's progress.
I started this last winter, and began with a metal 1/18 scale Ertl model.

Today, I got a can of autobody filler out and slathered it on, building the headrests completely out of bondo. Then, after considerable sanding, I gave it two heavy coats of lacquer primer in preparation for the spot putty.
(All done on the coffee table - right smack dab in the middle of the living room, no less!)

Tomorrow, after the putty is dry, I'll sand it with 200 grit, reprime it, and maybe have a coat of paint on it by the evening.

Yeah, can you tell I'm "bachelor-ing" it these days?

Thanks, tomdroptop, i have that one too. :shruggy:

Man I think you can get a red tailstripe decal for that 118 scale car, but why not wait for the nice detailed car that RC2 is doing? if they get the car to market, there are gonna be several versions.

Back N Black

pettyfan43, where can i find a red tailstripe decal ? and who is RC2 ?

Cheers

69bronzeT5

I added some redlines to my triple black 69. I also took out the odd-sitting HEMI and Im replacing it with a stock 440.

My Charger RC-Car. I customized it abit. I made it so the hood opens, I added some decals to the engine compartment such as Holley decals and etc etc. I also added Edelbrock decals to the side. Plus all the scratch marks on the roof from doing Dukes jumps...(I actually have jumped it and flipped it..doh :icon_smile_blackeye::icon_smile_big:

Here's one I did a couple years ago.  I did it up as a 383, and changed a few things to make it a "non-RT".
