It's a 2 door hardtop with 283 engine.  Check it out and see what you think.  It was pretty cheap.  Only $400 and I'm gonna drive it home tommorow.  It's only got about 20,000 miles on the clock too!  There's almost no rust and only a few minor dents.  Think I can hot rod this one?  :D

And according to the tag it has a GVW of 16000 pounds.  The crane is a Little Giant cable and drum outfit with a 40 ft. boom.  I snapped a couple quick pics as we were moving the thing to swing the boom around and let it down.
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

That looks like a fun toy...  it would make one hell of an engine hoist.   ;)

Right on, a old time cable rig.  How do you plan on moving it, are you taking the boom out of it?

Neat ol' rig.

That crane would be handy!  Wonder how that would look good in my backyard in the city here!HAHA!

That's pretty darn cool, especially for the price! What are your plans for it?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I've got a long list of plans for this puppy.  I've got main engines to switch around in a couple D8's.  I also have to take the radiator of one of the D8's and it's too heavy for a bobcat.  I've got a big 3 cylinder engine to put together (the crankcase is 6ft tall and the crank is 6 inches in diameter).  I can use the thing to set rafters on a shed.  That's just what I thought of today and I'm sure some relatives could use it too.  And plus it's fun to play with.  I'm like a big kid playing in the sandbox.  :icon_smile_big:

We just turned the boom around and set it down.  There is a pair of wheels on a dolly, basically that you bolt into the last section of the boom.  Then you release the turn-table lock and the boom functions like a truck and trailer.  It's pretty slick.  The biggest problem is the truck is old and the tires aren't great on it so you can't run real fast (40 mph or so).  That and it wasn't licesned but if you go early enough in the morning the cops are still sleeping.  :D
