Yes, it probably came with it on the column. I don't think they came with consoles? Check the vin # WM21 is a super bee.

I think most '68 Bees had bench seat and column shift. Make sure that the vin matches the cowl, rad support, trunk, if that is all applicable What is the price, condition?

lumpy

Here is a great link that will answer 99% of any VIN # questions.   http://www.mymopar.com/decoder.htm

There are a LOT more muscle Mopars running around today with console shift or four speeds than ever it seems.  Column shift automatic was a much more popular combination at one time than you would think judging by today.

6pkrunner

Many column shift cars were converted to floor/console from junkyard donors. From the cars on the lots in the 60s, I'd say more came with bench/column shift, but were swapped to buckets/console as a donor became available. Out of mine, only the Super Bee is a bench/column setup and its staying that way.

Super Bee's were meant to be CHEAP.    That means bench seats and column shifts were standard.    If you wanted buckets and consoles you had to pay extra - that wasn't the point     They were meant to be stripper cars for the budget minded weekend warrior.

Somewhere in time, a lot of people got the stupid idea that Road Runners and Super Bees were the top of the line personal luxury muscle cars  :eyes:
That place was already occupied by the GTX and the Charger.

I agree , plus back then street racers preferred a column shift. They considered them faster and easier to shift and the car had less weight without the console. I also think there are more console cars out there than ever was built. Just like there are more Hemi cars, R/T cars, Striped cars, etc. etc. .

No as bucket seats were not an option in '68. So all 68 automatic cars were column shift.

...and the Coronet R/T. All three were different cars to compete against different competitors.

I had an original 68' Super Bee back in the early 90's that was a column shift bench seat car, so yes.   They indeed came that way originally.

'68 R/Ts and 500s could have buckets and console. I beleive.

chargerman68

next question would be can i use from 68-69 fenders from other than coronets like roadrunners/chargers.....

A Coronet is a mixture of a Charger and a Roadrunner. Fenders from 68 and 69 are different. Satellite, RR doors and rear glass are the same. Some interior parts are same  as long as it's a B Body.

chargerman68

anyone have a pic and location of where to read the rad core support numbers?

Here are the rad core support numbers, located just to the right of radiator, on the

First letter is the plant
8=year
x=first digit of the VIN
the last six digits are the rest of the Sales Order number

a 68 Super Bee would read
(A,E,G)8W******

VIN # stampings vary in location depending on make and year. I am not sure where they  are on a '68 Bee, but there should be one on the rad support as shown. It should match the last part of the vin # from the vin tag. Other Mopars have them stamped somwhere on the cowl, if you open the hood and look around in the cowl area directly behind the firewall. Sometimes the # is hidden underneath weatherstripping. The other place would be in the trunk somewhere around the lip. Sometimes they are hard to read because of excess factory paint. If you get two of the numbers to match, you probably have an original Bee. Then there is engine, trans and rear end #'s :yesnod:

Brock Samson

you will need '68 coront replacment fender, i belive a '69 is very much the same except for the side marker hole (square) but the floor board and trunk patch are common to all second gen b-bods...
  but....
