I have a stupid question, but does it matter what side I put in front? My intake has 2 off center bolts on top. I think they were to hold the ignition coil, but I put them in back to bolt up the throttle linkage, the car runs and all, but does it matter?

It could matter depending on the intake.  Some runners are different lengths for a reason.  The throttle bracket should mount with the intake mounting bolts.  Obviously you have your coil mounted someplace else.  Which intake is it?

Some intake manifolds were designed around the firing order and engineered to make the most out of the vacuum created on each intake stroke. I would like to say it does not matter in your case because I have been less than impressed with edelbrocks products, but its possible this is the case as well.

I don't think it will matter with a Torker II.
