I have the s/s 7qt low profile pan on my 383 but it hangs down pretty low anyone ever had any problems hitting it? :slap:

I know that my machinist did, once.........................  Then he switched to the 6qt mopar pan.

the 6qt is 6.5 inches the milidon is 7 I wouldnt think a half inchwould make that much diff? :brickwall:

I never liked those oil pans...     what is the point ?  added oil volume ?  thats cool...    but why hang down so low ?  in my opinion it is merely a lack of quality...    you can easily get a 7qt pan to not hang as low...     it just costs a bit more...

I had always thought that one of the points was to keep the oil a little further from the crank.

440 source has a very similar pan, for a way better price.... :Twocents:

I already have the pan on and in the car I just was nervous on how low it was to the ground but it seems that unless you use the 4qt pan 6.5 to 7 inches seems to be the norm. :pity:
