I have a question for anyone who has an idea. I just bought a 73 charger se. The gas tank was off when i bought it. When I looked at how to hook it up I noticed that something was missing underneath the car which I think is the EEC. The guy I bought it from said not to worry about it and plug up the holes. So than I also noticed there are two lines other than the main gas line that run up to about the middle of the car and then they are cut off and bent back. So I connected the main line and the one next to it which is one of the cut off ones, and the rest I plugged up which are on the back of the tank. Now I don't know if this setup will work so if anybody has any suggestions of a correct way to hook it up please let me know.

Go to the 3rd gen site.  (the link is in my signature, click on the picture)  There was a post about this same thing the other day.  Some very helpful information there.

Hey thanks for the information. I appriciate it.

you have two lines that run from the tank, one is for fuel to the fuel pump 5/16" line and a smaller 1/4" line that is connected to your vacuum canister.  You will have 4 additional male input tubes on the front of your gas tank (facing front of vehicle) and those attach to the 4 male input tubes for venting your gas tank.

ok, thanks for the info. now my question is where is the vaccum cannister. The line leading to it is cut off underneath the car and what should I connect the back 4 hoses to. The eec or esc whatever it is called is gone?

Canister is to the left of the radiator (black with 3 fittings).  As long as you vent the gas tank somehow, the canister can be eliminated.

the 4 lines your tank should connect to should be a part of your trunkpan.  The venting system on 73/74 chargers are found there, center, rear hump.  If you were to lie down underneath the rear axle and look up and right behind the rear shock mount crossmember, you will see 4 lines pointing straight down.
