well, i decided to be the master blaster of the neighborhood yesterday.  blasted the engine compartment, and made a compete mess. it was a rainy day, so i had to work around it. built this weird tarp setup, that worked quite well. to get to the point, on the front of the rad support, i found what looks to be paint designation, and v8 designation when it came down the factory line. thought it was pretty cool. anyone ever see the same thing? had that woman of mine take pics so i could show you. got it primed and painted the same day. now the garage stinks, but I'm happy.   bruce

Interesting...

Does this mean all the numbers freaks are now going to have to strip their cars back down to bare metal to make sure they have the correct markings under the primer?  :scratchchin:    :hah:

Interesting, I blasted engine Compartment & core support of a 1970 F8 Super Bee & many other mopars & have not seen those marking but have seen other markings. LEON.

That's very cool. I've never seen or heard of anything like that, but it makes sense!

When Bill A. restored my Chally, he duplicated B5 "on top" of the black out.

Cool to see. I found a large P on the top passenger side of my cowl under the blackout paint on my T/A. No other surprises.
