Congrats bro! I've wanted a 69' Sport Satellite for years, but I fear most have been parted or turned into RR clones.  :rotz:

Nice man! Sport Satellites are going to be the next big thing! ;D

Bandit72

man...where do you find all of these cars? I'm not that far from you and i can't seem to find a single one.
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

thanks to everyone... to be honest, i traded the 72 demon for it.... some might call me crazy, but man... its a b-body!  I was never an a-body guy, thought I could like them, but the car did not grow on me.  And the trade passed the 250 mile away with no regrets test, so I am glad I have the satellite.

here is the kicker, the guy stated that the 3rd member was messed up and he could not get off the rims because they were frozen onto the wheel studs.  I didnt have the heart to tell him the driver's side were left hand thread, so I just said "yep, probably so!"  He thought the 3rd member had a spider gear problem (because it wouldnt roll forward), but I removed the rims and cleaned out the drums and "voila!", it now rolls forward.  That was another reason why he didnt want to mess with it.

The car is not a beauty queen by far, it has the rust issues in the rear trunk/wheelwell on the driver's side, some rocker rust and I will need to replace the driver's side door.  I will have to patch right behind the hood springs; replace each quarter panel, rocker, and the driver's side floorboard.

The hardest I think of all is going to find the sport satellite specific taillights and decklid panel (they are the same as GTX), hence everyone wanting them.

I WILL NOT CLONE IT TO A GTX.  It started as a sport satellite and stay that way (though a fiberglass sixpack hood may make it there) I am not sure about that though.  Right now its a daydreamer's paradise if you know what I mean.  There is way too much work on it right now to even think about stuff like that really (but I did anyway huh? :D )

I plan on making it roadworthy and cruise it the way it sits until my 73 RR is completed and then cruise it some more until my charger is done, AND THEN... I will start on this lol.  oh hell., who knows how these things end up.

Thanks to everyone on their comments.  FYI, its an original B3 blue car that was painted white.  I like the idea of having a blue car with white interior.
