Did the 72 Chargers have emblems that go on the roof/quarter window area, have 3 studs on them ??  If so, where can I find a set ?? Thanks

"72 S.E.'s had two different emblems. The original S.E. emblem was held in by a screw. The newer repros are not. Moparmadness can probably get them for you on my website.

I have a couple of tristar SEs emblems what are with pins not screws... dunno where did come from  ??? ::)  :scratchchin:  :icon_smile_big:
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

The "correct" charger script for the sail panel on 72's had two mounting holes (I'm sure of that), and is different than the others in distance between holes, and even the size (length x height) and I belive even the width! Its been a while since I crossed that bridge, but mine were correct on my '72 rallye and were NOS. But, then again, its been a while and a lot of beer since then.  They also used barrel clip fasteners on the posts.

They are about as rare as rocking horse shit these days.

Even the tri-star roof emblems on 72 SE's were unique. They had plastic inserts on the red/white/and blue as opposed to being painted or "enameled" like you see on most SE's  - which are reproduction parts.  I know because my brother Mike (72ChargerSE) has NOS emblems. If you are restoring an SE, he can give you some really good information. His car is extremely correct. Good luck!

I do not know how "SE" came up, but Mine is a Rallye.  Surely someone has these out there. Please help if you can !!
Also, I tried that moparmadness.com and there is no contact infomation ??

Hey Mike,

Mine are still on my car. I can take some pictures and measurements if you like. I don't know how many studs are on them or how they are fastened to the sail panel.I would have to remove some of the interior to find out. Also, toke my generator to the repair shop the other day, should be ready to pick up weds.

I believe that the emblem you WANT is part number 3613795. Most people end up having to use the 3504807 emblems (no studs) and gluing them on.  The chances of finding NOS 3613795`s is slim to none.

Yup...I searched for a year and gave up and glued them on.

Good luck!

I was kind of wondering that myself!

Okay thanks Guys !!  Mike, they have 4 holes in the sail panel, and have a barrel nut that pushes through the holes. No interior bolts or nuts to hassle with.  Let me know when the generator is up and running.!!  Thanks
