That's the Flying Dutchman Charger, it still exists and makes occasional runs at Vintage racing events, and YEAH it will still COOK!

:rotz: :P ::)

Man that SuperGas car was done back when the cars were still brand new, that picture is most likely from around the 70-71 time frame Maybe a little earlier or later, but not too much.

Seems I read somewhere that car is still around and owned by a collector, but I could be wrong.

I am in love. A replica of that car, with out a doubt, will be my next project. But I am having trouble locating additional information on it.

plum500

Man, those rear wheels/wells are huge, but I think the paint job rocks. :thumbs:

Ghoste

Doesn't somebody on this site have one of those old funny car bodies?

UFO

Here`s a front 3/4 shot.The door lettering on earlier post is missing.I wonder if it changed owners when that photo was taken.I sort of remember reading a write up on the car,but what magazine?I don't know.

Brock Samson

looks like the windshield posts are shorter and the top tucks down towards the front....
i wonder just how tall those rear slicks are ?..

I didn't manage to dig up info on the Charger in question but here's a cool site I bumped into along the way.http://www.60sfunnycars.com/index.htm

Anyone know where to buy, or if anyone even still makes these drag bodies. I have been searching for a while now and haven't found anything of use. I have tried: fiberglass drag body, vintage drag body, charger drag body, etc and have come up with ziltch.

LOL, I write that and the VERY next search I try I come up with this: http://www.theironalley.com/ scroll down a bit

not bad...
