Looks good except for one thing.  the stripe.  I don;t think the stripe looks good whatsoever.  but thats my two cents.  I dont just say everyhting looks good to please someone like everyone else seems to do.   so my opinion - the stripe stinks, the rest of the car looks good.

So everyone else on this thread thinks his car looks crappy, but is just being nice? Is this your opinion of everyone? Think before you type. I don't mind that you don't like the stripe. Everyone has different tastes. I mind that you are saying that those of us that like it are not being truthful.

The stripe looks great, car looks great and believe me if it looked like crap I would be the first person to say so...

I wonder if you could put some hideaway headlights on it...That would rock!!

pettyfan43

That is too cool. looks almost like it could have been a factory built car.  NICE!

Thanks guys! I knew some people would like it and some would not, I do, and that all that counts.  I wen't through a lot of thought on the stripe.  I actually bought the 68 bees for the rear quarter before I decided to go with the rumble bee.  Natcho sent me the specs for the 73 stripe, and I even taped off strobes like the RR. Ultimatly, I got help on the photo shop thread.  440 drew it up as it is now and that was how I liked it.  I would love to have both hideaways and RT tail, but I like the flat black with a 73 grill looks good.  I tried to build it like they would have in the 7-s if they built a bee and it was the most fun.  As far the wing I put it in the same spot on the deck lid as the 71 bee.  I did not replace the vynil top.  The vynil is in verry good shape but I have not cleaned it up yet.  I am trying to find a good set of trim for the top.  Over all, I am very happy with it.  I hope a majority of Charger people like it, I am sure some won't but ultimatly, I do and thats all that matters.  Thanks Allen

i like it but have some suggestinons..

move the bee in the grill to the right a few inches...

if you keep the bee on the front quarter move it towards the back an inch or so,.. as to my eye it looks too close to the wheel lip...
and there are two bees in front and two on the side too... you get my drift..

different wheels,.. dog dishes or the rally style or the classic A-12s with cromed lugs...

I'd like to see the intewrior and back of the car too...

I like it alot though...  :yesnod:

I am amazed.  This car gets more attention than my 68.  I drove it around Friday and a little Saturday between rain showers and it got a lot of attention.  I wish I could find the couple pieces of broken vynil top trim to complete the exterior.

Thanks, as far the grill bee, I can't move it, I put it there to hide a chip in the grill.  The fender Bee's go there because a chrome script "Super Bee" goes behind it.

Man, that looks really good!! :drool5:
Is that a Cuda Ken paint job? :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

41husk

no, I have not seen Ken in a very long time, this guy did this after work in his garage n less than 2 months, lots of rusr replacement, and I have been on oceans with less waves.  Did it for $1700 plus I bought paint and clear, and I payed him another $100 to paint the stripe.  I was so impressed with the finished product I gave him an extra $100 plus a dorm fridge for his garage.  I would say the entire job was about $2500.

41husk,
That is the same price that my guy is charging me. I wanted him to use single stage paint and he said he would not paint the car with single and insisted I bought Base Clear, I hope he was right & I hope mine turns out as nice as yours, that is really a pridefull ride! :yesnod:
I am going to keep my 73' Rally Charger stock (stock mid stripe kit) except I want to put on my 72' hideaways and a 71'-72' rear bumper & tails.
How did you get that there front bumper to fit so nice. I am retarded and could not understand the other threads about putting a 71-72 bumper on a 73, any detailed help would be appreciated. :yesnod:

I re drilled the holes in the bumper bracket as far foreward as I could go.  Anothe 1/4 inch would have been perfect but I like the look and best of all it allowed me to elimenate the bumper filler.

Taking her to the first cruize tonight, I am doing some interior cleaning and detailing.  Feeling a little guilty leaving the 68 in the garage,  Maybe I can get the wife to drive one, the cruize is less than 5 miles from the house.
