well the drive train i snagged for my 70 charger came form a 1976 plymouth grand fury x cop car.  the fury had a 76 440 hp/ with the  hp 727 combo.  with the trans part number being 4028425.  my question is what is the difference between the regular bb 727 and the hp bb 727 if there are any.. and also is there any thing special with this 76 440 hp... many thanks ray

4028425 is actually from a '78 440 Hi-Po. The 440 HP trans usually had 4-pinion planetaries and possibly the early style front servo, other than that it isn't much different than most other V8 HP transmissions.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
